Encouraging the Next Generation!
Hello!
I’m So Glad You’re Here!
“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.” ~Psalm 78:4~
What do you see, feel, hear when you look at the world scene today? Lies run rampant. Constant noise. Intense emotions hit us from all directions. Packed schedules strain relationships. These cultural dynamics affect each generation from birth to old age, and whatever affects one generation seeps into the others, as well.
Generations, part of our Creator’s stunning design, were made with power and potential to strengthen one another. My husband and I have seen this through our own varied experiences of having been teens, parented teens, leading a youth group of teens, and now having teen grandchildren. We’ve made plenty of mistakes, but we’ve also done the work and made the sacrifices to be a generationally-connected family.
Human interactions are tricky–in or out of families. I’ve had intense seasons of learning to see my brokenness and the brokeness of others, through God’s grace and truth. The result has been more of God’s compassion and insight in me, for those around me, especially teens.
May this site, my novel, and my newsletter be a welcome place and a hopeful space along your journey. Let’s explore how to be a life-giving generation helping ourselves and the next generation hear, see, touch and feel the wonders of Jesus, together. God bless you, Kimily Kay

A Moment Worth Saving!
My phone lit up with my daughter-in-law’s number. “Hey,” she said a bit breathlessly, “your choices for Christmas cousin jammies are going fast. I’ll text you two or three possibilities, then we should get them tonight.” I’m not a great shopper. I tend to wait ‘til...
The Song of the Dusk
Dusk is such a surreal, lyrical time to be outside. It’s like a song that gets you, and grips you, and you don’t ever want it to stop. Tonight, I stood in the fading light of dusk gazing at the distant blue-grey mountains as they melted into the darkening sky. The...
